Ahead of the 2027 general elections, a coalition of youth traders under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Tarauni Local Government Area of Kano State has formally endorsed Nasir Jaoji for the House of Representatives seat.
Chairman of the coalition, Musa Hausawa, disclosed the endorsement in an interview with journalists shortly after a strategic meeting with members in Kano.
He described the decision as a “collective stand for unity and the progress of Tarauni people,” stating that the group had carefully assessed Jaoji’s track record and believe he is the best candidate to represent the constituency in 2027.
“Our endorsement of Nasir Jaoji is based on merit, grassroots connection, and a shared vision for development in Tarauni. We believe his leadership will uplift the community, especially the informal economy where we operate,” Hausawa said.
He also called on other youth and trader groups in the area to support the movement, adding that their voices are vital in shaping the leadership that delivers real change.
Jaoji, a rising political figure within Kano APC, is expected to formally declare his intention to contest in the coming months.
