NAF Airstrikes Hit 400 Bandits Planning Attacks In Zamfara

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has disclosed that its airstrikes, under Operation Fasan Yamma, on Sunday 10 August, 2025, struck a gathering of 400 bandits while planning attacks on farming communities in Zamfara State.

NAF Spokesman, Air Cdre Ehimen Ejodame, in a statement said the airstrike and ground assault on Makakkari forest neutralised scores of terrorists.

According to Ejodame, Intelligence Surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) had confirmed movements of over 400 bandits with the plan to invade a farming community and launch a deadly attack when they were struck.

The NAF Spokesman said the operation involved precision airstrikes and ground assaults, resulting in the deaths of several notorious kingpins and scores of their foot soldiers.

The Director also emphasised that the synergy between the air and land components of Operation Fasan Yamma made the mission exceptional.
