KANO — Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has mourned the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as a true patriot who lived a life rooted in discipline, integrity, and unwavering love for Nigeria.
In a heartfelt tribute, the Governor reflected on Buhari’s decades of public service, noting that from his days as a military head of state to his tenure as a democratically elected President, he remained dedicated to Nigeria’s unity and progress.
“President Buhari gave his entire life to Nigeria,” Yusuf said. “He stood for the common man, led with sincerity, and stayed true to his values until the end.”
Governor Yusuf extended his condolences to Buhari’s family, the people of Katsina State, and Nigerians at large. He prayed for divine forgiveness for the late leader and for Allah to grant him eternal peace in Aljannatul Firdaus.
“His courage and simplicity will continue to inspire generations,” the Governor added, calling Buhari’s passing a national loss that leaves behind a legacy of service and sacrifice.
