Chidimma Vanessa Adetshina has been named Miss Universe Africa and Oceania at Miss Universe 2024.
Her journey to the crown wasn’t without it’s challenges, as she withdrew from the Miss South Africa contest due to scrunity over her nationality. She won Miss Nigeria after withdrawing from the Miss South Africa contest.
Adetshina finished second behind Miss Denmark, Victoria Kjaer Theilvig at the 73rd Miss Universe Competition held in Mexico.
She made Nigeria proud by becoming the first Miss Universe Nigeria to reach the top two on the global stage.
