Gov Radda Cuts Leave Short To Visit Community Attacked By Bandits In Katsina

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has shortened his official leave to visit Martau Community in Malumfashi local government area, which recently came under renewed bandit attacks.

The Governor arrived the area Wednesday afternoon and immediately began an on-the-spot assessment of the destruction caused by the assailants, who killed residents, razed houses and displaced families.

Radda, who was visibly moved by the level of devastation, said his visit was to commiserate with the victims and to reassure them that government would not abandon them in their moment of need.

He pledged that his administration would intensify collaboration with security agencies to restore peace, while also providing relief materials and support to victims.

Local sources said the community has suffered repeated attacks in recent weeks, forcing many residents to flee their homes.
Recall that Governor Radda on the 18th of August, 2025 left the country for a three-week medical leave.

The Governor was accompanied by top government officials, heads of state security agencies and emergency response teams to the community.
