The French President, Emmanuel Macron, has condemned the Israeli airstrike in Doha, Qatar.
Macron described the attack as unacceptable, stressing that war should not be allowed to spread in the region.
The airstrike, carried out by the Israeli Air Force, targeted Hamas’ leadership in Doha.
DAILY POST earlier reported that several explosions were heard, with smoke seen in the Katari district of Doha.
Confirming the attack, the IDF said it had carried out a “precise strike” aimed at eliminating senior Hamas members in Qatar.
Reacting via his verified X handle, Macron wrote: “Today’s Israeli strikes on Qatar are unacceptable, whatever the reason.
“I express my solidarity with Qatar and its Emir, Sheikh Tamim Al Thani. Under no circumstances should the war spread throughout the region.”
