The Kebbi State Government has donated ₦50 million to the families of victims affected by recent banditry attacks in Tadurga, Zuru LGA, and Kyebu, Danko Wasagu LGA, which left 30 people dead and several others injured.
Deputy Governor Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida led a government delegation on a sympathy visit to the affected communities on Friday, announcing that each of the two communities would receive ₦25 million in aid.

He described the donation as a modest gesture to support the bereaved families during a period of deep grief. He also pledged the government’s commitment to tighten security, especially by sealing off vulnerable entry points used by bandits around Tadurga and Kyebu.
Local government chairmen Muhammad Bala Isah Gajere (Zuru) and Hussaini Aliyu Bena (Danko Wasagu) confirmed that 16 persons were killed in Tadurga, while 14 others died in Kyebu and Yarkuka, Waje District. Several residents sustained injuries, and cattle and property were also stolen during the attacks.
They appreciated the state government’s quick response and called for more boots on the ground to deter future attacks.
The Chief of Dabai, Alhaji Suleman Sami Dabai, praised Governor Nasir Idris for his security-focused approach. Village heads Alhaji Abdullahi Usman of Tadurga and Alhaji Usman Muhammad Dunga of Kyebu also commended the support and appealed for enhanced border security.
