Kwara State government has procured 30 new electricity transformers to boost commercial activities and support economic growth in the state.
The commissioner for Energy, Engr. AbdulAzeez AbdulGaniy, disclosed this yesterday in Ilorin, the state capital, while receiving the second batch of the transformers.
He said the first batch of 16 transformers was received on August 15, 2025, while the remaining 14 were delivered to his ministry yesterday.
AbdulGaniy said that access to electricity plays a critical role in improving security and driving economic growth in communities l.
He restated the state government ‘s commitment to ensuring the welfare of the people of the state.
