Real Madrid has included Kylian Mbappé in their squad for the upcoming Champions League match against Lille on Wednesday, following his recovery from a thigh injury that kept him out of one match. Initially, it was anticipated that the French forward would be sidelined until after the international break, but he has made a surprising and swift return.
Mbappé suffered the injury during last Tuesday’s La Liga victory over Alavés and missed Sunday’s 1-1 derby draw against Atletico Madrid. Coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed his selection for the trip to France, where Lille will be without the injured Ethan Mbappé, Kylian’s brother.
However, goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has not been named in the squad due to a hip muscle injury sustained during the match against Atletico.
