The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs Eastern State Emirates Council has condoled with the Lamido of Adamawa, Dr Barkindo Aliyu, over the demise of his brother, Ahmad Aliyu Mustapha, the Sardauna of Adamawa, and former Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Customs Service.
The delegation, led by His Royal Highness Eze Aliyu Eme Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), vice president of the Eastern States, Emirate Council, prayed for the repose of the deceased, who he said had served the nation meritoriously.
Eme, said the death of the former Comptroller is a great loss not only to the emirate, but to the entire state and the nation as a whole.
He prayed for the repose of the deceased and urged the Fombina Emirates to take solace in Allah as the giver and taker of life.
Responding, the Lamido of Adamawa donated N1 million for the propagation of Islam in the Eastern zone.
The royal father thanked the delegation for identifying with the emirate over the demise of Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu Mustapha, the Sardauna Adamawa, and a one-time Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Customs Service. Mustapha died at the age of 76.
