Okpebholo, Idahosa Sworn in as Edo Governor, Deputy

Monday Okepebholo and his deputy has been sworn in as the new governor of Edo state, taking over from Godwin Obaseki who has completed his second term in office.

The ceremony took place in Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin city and the Chief Judge of Edo state, Justice Daniel Okubowa, administered the oath of office.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by dignitaries in the country such as the vice president Kashim Shettima, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, Chairman of the Governors’ forum, also in attendance were Governors from the APC. Meanwhile, Okepebholo predecessor, Godwin Obaseki was not in attendance.
