The Oyo State PDP Youth Leader, Hon. Lekan Bello, on Saturday, 11th October 2025, received a courtesy and familiarization visit from the Egbeda Local Government PDP Youth Leader, Mr. Oderinlo, alongside eight out of eleven Ward Youth Leaders from Egbeda Local Government.
The visit was aimed at congratulating Hon. Lekan Bello on his emergence as the Oyo State Youth Leader and at strengthening the bond between the state and local youth structures of the party.
In his remarks, Mr. Oderinlo, the Egbeda Local Government PDP Youth Leader, described the visit as both a familiarization and solidarity gesture, noting that Hon. Lekan Bello’s emergence as State Youth Leader remains a source of pride to the Egbeda PDP family.
Responding, Hon. Lekan Bello expressed appreciation to the delegation for their show of support and solidarity, urging them to view their positions as a call to service, He emphasized the importance of youth mobilization, grassroots participation, and unity in strengthening the PDP across Oyo State.
Hon. Lekan Bello also used the opportunity to thank the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for giving him the opportunity to emerge as the PDP Youth Leader in Oyo State. He described the Governor as a leader whose dedication to youth inclusion and empowerment continues to inspire confidence among the younger generation.
Furthermore, Hon. Lekan Bello urged the youth leaders to return to their respective wards and begin active canvassing and mobilization for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of future political engagements. He stressed that consistent engagement with grassroots members remains key to the party’s sustained success.
He also encouraged them to work closely with party leaders in Egbeda Local Government and to develop actionable plans that would contribute to the party’s growth and visibility at the grassroots level.
Hon. Lekan Bello reaffirmed his commitment to collaborating with youth leaders across Oyo State to promote inclusiveness, teamwork, and active youth participation in party activities and governance.
The meeting ended on a positive note, with renewed enthusiasm toward the continued progress and success of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State.
