Philippine Vice President Sara Duterte has been summoned by the National Bureau of Investigation after publicly threatening President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. Duterte claimed to have arranged for Marcos, his wife, and a relative to be killed if she herself were assassinated.
The remarks, made on Facebook, were described as “no joke.” Investigators are probing potential violations of anti-terror laws, while Marcos condemned the threats, questioning the safety of ordinary citizens under such circumstances.
