President Bola Tinubu arrived back in Abuja on Saturday evening after concluding a two-week working vacation in the United Kingdom. He touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport around 7:15 p.m. and was greeted by several high-ranking government officials.
Among those welcoming the president were Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, and ministers Wale Edun (Finance) and Abubakar Atiku Bagudu (Budget and Economic Planning). Also present were National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu and Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Tinubu left Abuja for the UK on October 2 for what was described as a working vacation, as part of his annual leave. According to a statement from his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the president used this time to reflect on his administration’s ongoing economic reforms. During the break, Tinubu made a brief trip to Paris for official engagements, according to Senior Special Assistant Ibrahim Kabir Masari.
The president is now back in the country after his two-week leave.
