Celtic manager, Brendan Rodgers has given reasons he signed Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho.
Iheanacho joined the Scottish champions as a free agent this summer.
His moves to Celtic comes after he parted ways with Sevilla shortly before the transfer window closed.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of Celtic’s clash with Kilmarnock this weekend, Rodgers, who coached Iheanacho at Leicester City, told Celtic TV about the Nigeria international: “Thankfully at the end of the window there was a player that was available that I know very well.
“Kel was a player that was brilliant for me at Leicester. I only want to take someone here who was robust and he’s a genuine talent.
“And if I can get that out of him again it could be a big plus for us. So we lost Adam. Adam made a really good contribution here.”
